Who TF Was Napoleon?

Morning Emperor!

You know Napoleon?

The… uh, short French revolution guy?

Who even was he?

So it's 1769, France.

Napoleon just popped out of his mom…

And he was immediately shipped off to military school.

Turns out, he was actually great at military strategy.

Which was good timing because the french were super pissed at their monarchy.

And decided to chop off some heads…

A revolution!

So Napoleon decides to join the revolutionary army and, because he was such a military genius, he quickly rose through the ranks to become captain.

Winning battle after battle.

And eventually, the revolutionaries he fought for won and made a brand new government.

But Napoleons like…

So he leads a coup (a fancy overthrow) and makes HIMSELF First Consul of France.

But Consul Napoleon? Nah, too boring.

How about Emperor Napoleon!

Ya, he makes himself Emperor lol.

But the British didn't seem to like this very much…

They not only hated French people, but they also hated anti-monarchists.

So Britain rallied a bunch of other countries, assembling a ragtag team to fight back against Napoleon’s France with them.

Think:

• Austria
• Russia
• Prussia
• Spain
• Portugal
• Sweden
• The Ottoman Empire
• Other random German states

And just like that… the war was on!

But eventually, Napoleon's Empire became stretched too thin trying to fight too many people at once.

Which led to his brutal defeat at Waterloo in 1815.

He was then picked up and banished to a small island in the Mediterranean.

But then he escaped!

So he was banished to another, much further away island.

Where he then died…
