Morning rhinovirus!

Lol, interesting interpretation.

Rhinovirus.

Medical-speak for ‘the common cold’.

Nose poison.

That’ll do.

But, why do they give us sore throats??

Cause when you catch a cold from somebody,

Yuck, sorry Durd lol.

But when you catch a cold from somebody, their little rhinovirus particles charge into your upper respiratory tract.

Basically your nose, sinuses, and throat.

Why there?

Well the virus likes to cozy up where it’s warm and moist.

It’s ideal for doing the only thing a virus wants to do: reproduce.

Lol baby rhinoviruses.

When these viruses invade, they release proteins that trigger your body’s immune system to go into overdrive.

It’s white blood cell fighting time…

When white blood cells attack the virus, all that commotion creates inflammation – the dilation of blood vessels to allow more white blood cells to get to the area.

But that swelling is what causes redness and pain.

And why it hurts to swallow for a week…
