Look at this famous google interview question that everyone gets wrong:

“Imagine you’re shrunk down to the size of a nickel…”

“And placed into a blender.”

“The blades will turn on in 60 seconds.“

“What do you do to escape?”

OK so, most people say something like:

Yeahhhh… but then you’re still stuck in a blender…

Come on… be realistic, you’re not that strong.

Now we're thinking!

Look look, ants have these tiny hook feet which could allow them to hook onto any small grooves in the glass.

Now we don't have hooks, but we do have fingers, which are kinda like hooks…

So this MIGHT actually work!

But, if you make 1 tiny mistake…

It would kinda suck.

You wanna know the best answer?

Just JUMP!

Yes, really!

Look…

See all these animals jumping?

And how they get much smaller?

But can still jump similar heights?

This is because as an animal gets smaller their weight goes down really really quickly…

But their muscle area (the thing that determines strength) only goes down kinda quickly…

This is also the reason ants can lift 50 times their own bodyweight!

So what does this all mean?

It means, if you were the size of a nickel you’d be able to jump like 16 inches!

More than enough to clear a blender!!!
