The REAL Rosa Parks

3 min read

Morning Rosa!

Dang, Derd’s kind chopped.

He’s supposed to be this little lady:

Rosa Parks

Beautiful.

You know, like refusing to give up her seat to a white man on the bus, Rosa Parks?

Um..

I don’t know how to break this to you, but..

She’s not the real deal!!

Because in 1955, Montgomery, Alabama

There’s this 15 year old lady:

And she bops herself on over to a segregated city bus.

Takes her little seat.

When the bus fills up, and..

Uh oh..

One white woman is left standing..

Claudette?

Claudette?

Claudette, no..

This was THE turning point for the Civil Rights movement

But, Civil Rights leaders take one look at Claudette and are like:

So 9 months later, a 42 year old Rosa Parks trots onto the scene.

She’s an experienced Civil Rights Activist.

So activists ask her to sit on that same Montgomery bus in the ‘colored section.’

And when asked to move..

Now the movement’s ready to rally.

With all black riders boycotting the bus system for over a year.

Oh, and sadly, Claudette Colvin passed away on January 13, 2026

May she rest in peace.

Stay Protesting,
